The Longest Night: A Service of Comfort & Hope

Christmas can be a painful time for some people. In a season where the expectation is to feel merry and bright, many of us are carrying grief over losing a loved one, pain over a broken relationship, weariness of unemployment, anxiety over ill health, or disillusionment over loss of a dream. These challenges can make us feel very alone in the midst of the celebrating and spending. We need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness and loss; we need to know that we are not alone.

Please join us for this special candlelight service that acknowledges that God’s presence is for those who mourn, for those who struggle — and that Jesus came to shine light into our darkness. Everyone, regardless of church background (or lack of it) is welcome. This “gentle” service allows you to come as you are and be kindly led to honor your losses and consider the possibility of hope.
